Veterinary Dental Care in Cedar Hills, Oregon

Your pet’s oral care is more important than you think! Not only are strong teeth needed for eating, but pets also use their mouths to clean themselves, play with toys, and carry stuff around.

If there are issues with their teeth or gums, it could affect their appetite or cause their behavior to change.

We understand “dog breath” isn’t usually a good thing, but if your four-legged friend’s mouth is smelling especially foul, it might be time for a trip to WellHaven.

Poor oral health could point to other problems throughout the body, including the liver, heart, and kidneys.

Regular dental visits and proper home care (we can show you!) will keep your pet’s mouth healthy and clean.

Pet dental care that helps protect your pet’s smile!

Recent studies have shown that 70% of adult cats and 80% of adult dogs show symptoms of oral disease. Dental disease can lead to infections that can spread through the bloodstream to affect major organs such as your pet’s liver, kidneys, and heart.

We recommend annual dental exams to get a baseline of your pet’s oral health. We’re also able to schedule dental cleanings when appropriate.

Unsure if your pet is having dental issues? Symptoms like bad breath, plaque build-up, excessive drooling, sore or bleeding gums when eating or chewing, and decreased appetite are signs that your fur baby’s teeth may require veterinary attention.

Complete Dental Care For Your Pet

In addition to regularly scheduled dental exams, we also offer dental X-rays and dental cleaning appointments. X-rays help us view and then appropriately treat teeth and bone that are hidden from view, as well as what’s going on under the gumline. X-rays can often reveal hidden and painful conditions that are hidden from the naked eye.

WellHaven Pet Health Cedar Hills is a leading veterinarian in Beaverton OR that is happy to protect your pet’s smile. During a dental exam, we’ll discuss home teeth cleaning tips and brushing instructions. Your home care along with our dental services is the perfect combination to keep your pet’s mouth clean and healthy!
