Internal Medicine Vet in Cedar Hills

We can always count on our pets to be there to lift us up when we’re feeling down. Whether it’s vigorous tail-wagging, nuzzling, or a big sloppy kiss! And we want to be there for them, too. But it’s hard to know exactly what’s wrong unless there are obvious physical signs.

If they haven’t been eating, are acting listless, or are suddenly anxious and aggressive, it may be time to bring them to the Cedar Hills WellHaven. Any prolonged change to their behavior could be a sign of internal pain. Unfortunately, they can’t just come out and tell us what’s wrong.

Cedar Hills Veterinary Staff

Veterinary Internal Medicine Services

We provide true inside-out and nose-to-tail care for your pet. Our hospital is fully outfitted to offer internal medicine, including updated equipment to help examine, analyze, diagnose, and treat your furbaby. With on-site resources, we’re able to get you information that much faster.

Our upgraded radiology department gives us the ability to x-rays from the Cedar Hills location. This equipment will allow us to quickly investigate any issues with the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, as well as bones. Armed with this information, we can move forward with diagnosis. Radiology can be an extremely valuable tool in finding and dealing with health issues.

Cedar Hills WellHaven also has an on-site laboratory to quickly diagnose and start treatment. We perform blood chemistry analysis, analyze thyroid levels, and check coagulation profiles as well as test for diseases like parvovirus, Lyme disease, and feline leukemia.

No longer will you have to send samples out to an off-site lab and wait for results. We’re quicker than ever before and more accurate, too. Once we have all of the data we need, we begin to chart a course for treatment and recovery. This may include surgery, physical therapy, a change in diet, and likely prescription medicine.

With an in-house pharmacy, you won’t have to make an extra trip and you’ll be able to easily refill prescriptions if needed. The Cedar Hills WellHaven is able to give your pet complete care in most cases. If we aren’t able to help, we will refer you to another facility that handles more complicated treatments.
